Description
Construction Project Leads in Training are responsible for providing support in leading and supervising volunteers. They are also responsible for assisting in various stages in the construction projects.
• Support onsite training and supervision of volunteers
• Actively learn how to provide leadership to other construction volunteers
• Regularly assist in leading 1-5 volunteers
• Assist with hands-on work when required
• Responsible for tools and materials
• Ensure safety on site at all times
• Understanding of the construction process
• Positive attitude
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and volunteers
• Excellent listening skills and desire to follow instructions
• Some hands-on construction experience is an asset

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: • Annual Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region Volunteer Orientation and completion of a safety quiz
• Mandatory safety courses as required
• Ongoing on-site safety training
• Safeguarding training
Working Conditions: • Some exposure to the elements
• Working in a climate-controlled workshop space
• Working independently and/or with a team
Accessibility: Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route

8:30am - 4:00pm
