Description House of Friendship is seeking a licensed hairdresser or barber with experience working with all hair textures to provide hair-cutting services to participants in our Men's Live-In Addictions Treatment Program.
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in using their skills to support people in their community. Volunteers are asked to commit to providing services on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
Interested volunteers will be required to complete an online application and virtual interview, provide two references, complete approximately 2 hours of online training, and obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check. The cost of the police check will be reimbursed by House of Friendship.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Volunteers will complete approximately 2 hours of online training before their first shift, as well as an on-site orientation. Working Conditions: This role takes place indoors in a residential treatment setting. Volunteers will work directly with program participants and should be comfortable working in a shared, community-based environment. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Anytime The schedule will be determined in collaboration with the volunteer and the Addictions Program Supervisor.
